Greeneville, Tennessee According to the police report, the employee drew a .22-caliber revolver and fired “a warning shot” into the pharmacy’s floor in an attempt to frighten off the masked man.
However, the employee later told police, the would-be robber appeared not to hear the warning shot, and pointed a handgun he was carrying at another pharmacy employee, saying “give me all your hydrocodone (a Schedule III controlled pain-killing drug).”
The employee who had initially fired a warning shot said later that she then pointed her revolver “at the center of his (the suspect’s) chest and pulled the trigger.”
After uttering an expletive and calling the employee a derogatory name, according to the police report, the masked man fled. . . .
